Advertisement of a University which shall remain nameless
Congrats to Mr.K for spotting this ad, which follows on last week’s high brow gaffe - “enrolling in the certificate”, which conjures images of students wrapped in large, over-sized documents. This one builds on the theme, suggesting that the grinning gentleman in the photo could be an alumnus of a certificate. Again, there seems to be an outright prejudice against the word “program”. Pity.
For some reason, reading this caused the usually temperate Mr.K to burst into a blast of invective. Something about the “keepers of the culture” or the “intellectual elite” not even knowing their own name or what it means. Good thing I stopped him short of the full-blown “End of civilization as we know it” rant. Don’t worry, be happy.
