Yogi Berra notwithstanding, it would be unfair to label athletes as having particular difficulty with language. Sure, they give 110% and come to play, etc., but those are just the terms of the trade as we all have wherever we work.

Mr. Hufnagel (literally translated hoof-nail) was being interviewed about a training camp injury to one of his players. It is reassuring to see that concern for safety, albeit poorly-expressed, has made it all the way to the grid-iron.
