DrJ&MrK is happy to announce the marriage of none other than Mr.K. himself to the lovely and charming Laurie Watson. The ceremony took place yesterday under brilliant Alberta sunshine at St. Clement’s Anglican Church, Balzac. The bride was radiant, while the groom sported a slick rented tux and a broad cat-who-really-did-eat-the-canary grin.

The reception was held at the always-excellent Bavarian Inn in Bragg Creek, first on the sunny patio (Alberta weather, go figure!) and then in the charming restaurant. Besides the contented murmurs of the guests during the meal, several speeches were heard, mostly detailing the many unique qualities of the bride and expressing shock at the remarkable luck of the groom.

The guests are still somewhat numb from the awesome feast so generously provided by the hosts and bask in the slowly fading glow of the warm gemütlichkeit that pervaded the entire event. Mr.andMrs.K are off on a well-deserved honeymoon in the Chilcotin region of British Columbia. Congratulatory messages can be left for the happy couple by contacting MrK on the site.

This means that readers can look forward to, or recoil from, the prospect of DrJ blogs all day every day for the next ten days or so. While not necessary satisfying to the reader, it will provide yours truly with the opportunity to write on my own obtuse agenda for the next few days – without the stifling strictures of MrK’s rigorous professional standards.
