“Husky Energy is expected to deliver it’s first quarter results.” – The Globe and Mail, April 17th, 2006

“Hampton Securities: independant, trusted, relevant…” – advertisement on the same page of the Globe

Concerned as it is with dollars and cents and what columns of numbers mean to investors, it should be no surprise that words take a back seat in the Report on Business. There is generally increasing confusion between its and it’s anyway, so why condemn the Globe? At least they didn’t write “Husky will deliver their results”.

As for Hampton Securities, there was obviously no spell-check on the graphic design program their agency was using. We’re sure they pay stricter attention to your investments than they do to spelling.
